by RIYA SHREE: In a betrayal marriage incident in Ballarpur, a college professor hanged its two daughters, and sent a picture on WhatsApp to his wife who had eloped a few days ago, he then ended his life too.
The incident happened around 1 AM on Tuesday at the house of the 40-year-old ITI teacher Rishikant Kudupalli, Police Official Sunil Kamble said. A Police complaint was lodged by the deceased brother, Gopal Kudupalli, informing that Rishikant was very upset about his wife Pragati’s alleged affair with a local private driver, identified as Shahnawaz Khan.
Pragati had left her 40-year-old husband and their two children – Narayani (6yrs), and Karthiki (2yrs) to be with her lover a few days back.
A report by Gulf News states that a case has been filed under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against Pragati and Shahnawaz for abetting a suicide, murder, and torture. Sunil Kamble, a police officer was quoted as saying by Gulf News that the duo is on the run at the moment and the police are searching for them. Rishikant hanged both his daughters, clicking their photos and after sending them to his wife, committed suicide at his home in Ballarpur, 170 km from Nagpur.
