Chandigarh High Court rejected the appeal of an engineering student of NIT, Kurukshetra to let him appear for his compartment exams. The candidate had appealed to the court to allow him to appear in his 17 compartment exams this year, to which the Chief Justice scolded him and said that its time that he should leave engineering and save the country.
The NIT student who enrolled himself for the engineering degree in 2009 was not able to clear his exams during his four years of engineering course. The institution further granted him another four years in which he couldn’t succeed either. When asked about the reason, he said that due to personal reasons he was not able to clear the exams.
The student who was representing himself asked the court to show some mercy, the Chief Justice Krishna Murari reciprocated and rather asked him to show some mercy on the court and do not waste the valuable time of the court. The court further added that if in last 9 years the candidate was unable to clear his compartment exam, then he will not be able to clear it in one go. The court even advised him to leave engineering and save the country and choose any other profession for a living.
